The Illinois State Alliance of YMCAs is comprised of 49 corporate YMCAs and 61 branches from Chicago to Moline, Roscoe to Belleville. Collectively, Illinois YMCAs work together in strengthening the foundations of community.
The Y comes together on issues that are important to Illinoisans such as youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Illinois YMCA CEOs and YMCA policy volunteers work with legislators in the State to ensure state and federal legislation further the work of the YMCA that will strengthen communities across IL.

State Alliance Purpose:
The staff- and volunteer-led Illinois State Alliance of YMCAs exist to ensure that Ys in Illinois are positioned to respond promptly and effectively to statewide challenges and opportunities. The capacity to respond collectively will support Illinois YMCAs in furthering their work in youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
